Mimi Came to Visit!

Melinda's mom, Sherri- aka Mimi, flew in Wednesday to come visit us, well Georgianna really! We know now that we have a baby girl that we are chopped liver! :)

Grandma let us have a date night Wednesday night (nothing like ditching baby girl as soon as grandma arrives, right?!). We went to the Nunan House for dinner. It was the most delectable dinner had in a very long time, and Melinda didn't have to cook! A real treat! It was nice to have couple time together, especially since Ryan left the next morning for Elk hunting and would be gone many days. Melinda survived leaving Georgianna for a couple of hours, it was the first time anyone else had watched the baby. Big steps! or as Ryan would say: the bubble is getting a little smaller...

Mimi, Georgie and Melinda stayed home in pajamas/sweats all day on Thursday- it was wonderful. The weather was really cold & damp outside, so it made the perfect opportunity to stay inside! We rearranged the nursery and figured out all the finishing touches.

We also did some shopping for baby and found items to make Christmas gifts. Just enjoyed being girls together! Thanks Mom for playing hookey and spending time with us. We already miss you so! Love you!

Fall afternoon at Lithia Park

Ryan took his girls out for a lovely afternoon in the park. We strolled along the paths admiring all what's left of the golden and amber leaves on the trees. Georgianna didn't want to be hindered by the confines of her stroller, she wanted to be a part of the autumn air! She truly loves being outside, like daddy. We watched the ducks glide along the mirky pond and listened to the rustling of Ashland creek atop a bridge.
It couldn't have been a more perfect fall day!

Georgianna's New Fav thing!

So little missy has really discovered her hands!
She loves to suck on her fingers... especially her thumb! Yikes!

Ready...

Aim...

Suck!!

Oh boy...

Doesn't discriminate which fingers!

Georgie-O-Lantern

Spooktacular Halloween

The Robertson's had a fantastic Halloween.
Georgianna was dressed up as a jack-o-lantern. And what a darn cute pumpkin she was!
She survived making all the rounds. First, we went to Papa Robertson's house for a ghoulish potluck and checked out all the cousins in their Halloween garb. Then we visited with Grandpa & Tutu, and lastly ended the night at Elizabeth & Troy's spooky bash.
We retired the night with a bag of home made melt-in-your-mouth carmel corn (thanks Elizabeth!) and dreamed of the extra hour we would gain with the time change...too bad baby's clock wasn't in tune!

Georgianna is 4 months old!

Georgianna had her four month check-up at the pediatrician's this week, and good news...we don't have to take her back! She now weighs 13 lbs. 11oz., has grown two inches in two months bringing her to 24 3/4 in long. She now can see fully in color and can focus well, too. She'll follow along while you move, will watch you go up & down and side to side. She loves watching all the dogs play in the backyard. If you put an object in front of her she'll grab at it and play with it. She keeps her head and back straight while sitting on your lap. She'll tell you story after story now...talks lots (and loud) like daddy!! So fun how far she has come in just one month! She still is a sweet baby, with a hint of 'tude... but we wouldn't expect anything less!

Quick trip to Eugene

Friday we drove to Eugene so Ryan could work with a few of his agents, then that evening we celebrated two particular agents that had won the AFLIC award for writing life policies. We had a fun dinner at a Mediterranean restaurant. Of coarse Georgie joined us, and was an angel!

Beautiful Fall Weather

Ryan had gone to Madison, Wisconsin to attend an annual Managers Seminar and came home with a present for Georgianna... cheese mousie! The baby loved it... so did Rocco! That following weekend we took a drive through the Applegate Valley to enjoy the lovely autumn weather. The trees had turned such vibrant colors of red, gold and orange. The trees in our backyard were fabulous to look at as well!

Rocco turns 4 years old!

Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Rocky... Happy Birthday to you!!!!!

Hunt for the Great Pumpkin

We drove out to Applegate Valley Ranch, which is where we got married, to hunt for Georgianna's first pumpkin. There was a hay ride that directed us to a large corn maze that finished at the pumpkin patch. Georgie searched for the perfect pumpkin and with dad's help she found it!

Georgie's First Beaver Game!

We invited our friends Troy, Elizabeth & Jake Petersen to join us to attend the Oregon State Beavers vs. the Arizona Wildcats football game (Elizabeth is a Wildcat). We met some other friends there and tailgated with lots of good game food- brats with grilled onions & peppers, potato salad and E's awesome chocolate cake. Georgianna and I sat inside the club level watching the game and did terrific through all the cheering & noise. Sadly, the Beavers lost (Elizabeth was ecstatic, but knew not to gloat too much! :) but was a great time had by all. Go Beavs!!
