Happy Valentine's Day!
At preschool with her friends
After preschool Ryan took Georgianna out for a Valentine's Day lunch date.
Georgianna was going over the Valentines she received from her school friends.
Think she was pretty content.
Valentine's cards and stickers came in the mail from Mimi & Papa, so this is what Georgianna decided to do with the stickers...
Gotta love her imagination!
"I'm all ready for Hawaii!"
We were invited back to the Classic Wine Auction in Portland, which happen to be the night before we flew out to Hawaii. We knew how to kick-off a vacay! ;)
Melinda with Ryan's boss, Rob, and his wife Lynn
March 3rd, on our way to Maui!
We've arrived!
It was really windy out so we ducked into the aquarium and the girls were in awe
Wow sis, look at all those fish!
Black sand beach
Showing Georgie some live corral
Watch out for the naked baby!
The girls loved building castles in the sand.
Especially Evangeline, the sand & chasing birds was her thing
Georgie loved being chased by the waves
Our friend we made along the way
Our little explorer
Bliss!
We saw all of the island
Dinner in Lahaina
Ryan is kissing Georgie's Hanu (turtle) on a dare
Ah, it's the life!
Date at Mama's Fish House
Amazing food and old island atmosphere, just perfect
She's already become a local
Body surfing with dad. Georgie did really great.
This is how we spent most of our beach time
Lunch in Lahaina
Georgie found another small person
So, how's the catch today?
Lahaina front street
Sunset beach play
Dinner in Pa'ia
Discovered how much Evangeline liked salsa!
You probably can't tell but her face & dress is covered in it.
What, do I have something on my face?
Dessert at Ono Gelato
We probably ate there at least 5 times!
I vote the Lemon over the Raspberry!
We drove the infamous Road to Hana.
It was an all day trip, but worth it.
Our first stop was to see the parrots.
They could not wait for the waterfalls
Playing at the black sand beach at Hana
We flew a kite
You could imagine the clean up of this child!
Found a visitor on our windshield (lizard)
We visited many times with Ryan's Uncle Scooter and Aunt Gayle & cousins
Joey and Baylee who all live on the island
Being mischievous...
Georgie telling Aunt Gayle all about sissy playing in their water fountain!
We took a terrific walk through the Kapalua arborateum
So lush
Here comes Tarzan!
This girl is ready to Hula!
(That's Melinda's pario from when she was the same age-ish at Tahiti)
At the Lahaina Cannery Mall to see the Keiki Hula Show
Georgianna even got to go on stage to show off her skills
Footage of her dancing
Drove to the Upcountry one day
Stopped off at the local market for an amazing lunch
Some more friends we made
Across the street is the only Maui winery.
Great looking wooden sculptures
Dancing like the sculptures...
They have Pineapple Champagne... sold!
Kept driving eastbound, but all there was only lava
So we turned around and drove south
Drove to the Surfing Goat Dairy.
They really do surf! Well sorta....
The last full day we spent on Maui we took a private
Whale watching boat ride guided by Uncle Scooter
You can see the spray of the Mama and the baby sticking out behind to the left
We saw at least 15 whales in an hour and within 200 yards of our boat
It was amazing. It was a highlight of the trip.
Evangeline gives it two thumbs up!
Mahalo!
A typical winter stroll down the street...
Melinda put on a Women's Spa Day at her church
It was fun and a success!
One afternoon the girls & Melinda were catching rain drops off the front porch
But angel Evangeline closed the door without me knowing and locked us out.
No other windows or doors were open to the house.
