Georgie's First Airplane Flight

While Ryan went away on business in mid-April Melinda and Georgianna took a trip to La Crescenta, CA to spend time with their family. This was Georgie's first airplane ride. She was a super first-time traveler and it helped that the flight attendants just adored her! She welcomed all the other passengers after the beverage service with this very nice attendant.

Phew! Made it through without any breakdowns!

Great Grandpa and Gigi took us to Descanso Gardens for a lovely meander around the scenic property.

In the Lilac garden, so sweetly fragrant and charming.

We had a delicious lunch, specially hand crafted by Grandma herself, set with the finest table ware and flowers!

At Mimi and Papa's house Georgianna loved playing with her cousins, Ayden & Jeremy. They entertain her well!

We also had special visitors from our friends Barbie, Juliane and Miss Hazel. Georgianna and Hazel are kindred spirits, and are always a delight to watch interacting together.

Georgianna showed off her jumping skills to Hazel. She really is quite talented!

Mimi had too much fun giving Georgie a bath in the new kitchen sink.

As you can see, Georgie had a blast too!

We met up with Melinda's sister, Vanessa and her family for Scottish fare, since they just returned from a vacation in Scotland. Great hearing all about their adventures!

Papa & Mimi took us to Santa Monica Pier for the day.

It was Georgianna's first time at the California beaches.

She loved all the new sounds, ocean air and cool breezes.

Oh yeah, and great people watching!

Had a nice dinner in Mom & Pops' backyard with the Blackwoods and Great Grandpa & Grandma . Gotta love that sunny, warm April California weather.

Those Blackwoods are just hams!

But SO adorable and the best family.

Georgianna's Dedication

We had Georgianna dedicated at Montrose Church in California on Mother's Day. It was incredibly special to make the promise in front of some family our commitment to guide Georgianna in a Christ filled life.

Pastor Dave delivered a very touching and personal dedication.

Georgie did great, she didn't cry once...

but did end up sucking her thumb towards the end.

It was nap time and she was pooped from all the attention.

We had a brunch following at Mom & Pops' home.

It was the best First Mother's Day a mom could have.
